a small brunette sighed quietly to herself as she made her way up the front steps of the school. she was dreading this day, there was no hiding it now. the fifteen year old was pregnant. although the bump was small and not really noticeable, it was there. however, she felt everyone could see right through her, and immediately guess her secret. especially to people who already knew, which she prayed was no one. kennedy linley had told no one she was pregnant. mainly because she was scared to death and had only found out about two weeks ago, after taking a home pregnancy test. then following up with her pediatrician. she was six week pregnant, and she had no clue what to do.
kennedy wanted to confide in her best friends, but she didn't know exactly how to. all she wanted was help, and she did not want to tell her parents. she was supposed to be the perfect one. her sister, well, to face the facts, a very *friendly* person. and this was to be expected out of her. even though she was nineteen, compared to kennedy's fifteen. but kennedy had always been the quiet one, the shy one, and the girl who was in band. that was until one night with issac bass. where he totally took advantage of how naive the young girl was. she knew he was a sleeper, but he had said that he had changed.. that he loved her... but that wasn't true. obviously, or she wouldn't be in this predicament. it had only lasted like two seconds, then he was gone. leaving her curled up in a ball, wondering how she was going to face her family and friends.
so she had decided not to tell anyone anything about it. but that became hard, kennedy began to strangely wake up in the morning, only to become very good friends with the toilet in her bathroom. at first, she figured it was probably the stomach flu or something. but after she had discovered that her jeans would no longer button, she knew something was wrong. since she had never been able to keep weight on her small frame. ever. so the new weight, how her flat stomach now rounded off into a very small bump. it freaked her out, and she didn't know what to do. and she couldn't tell her parents, she just couldn't. since they had been fighting terribly, lately. and she was afraid they were headed for a divorce. which only put more stress on the fifteen year old's shoulders.
taking a deep breath, and brushing her brunette bangs back from her face, she pushed open the doors to new york city academy. bracing herself to be laughed at, and for someone to immediately shout "hey look! kennedy linley got knocked up!" but everything was quiet, no one looking in her direction. she wasn't exactly popular, so it didn't surprise her. no, it relieved her for now. since her classmates didn't actually look at a person closely unless they had a good reason too. now all she had to worry about were her friends, and what she was going to tell them.
