Jevin Moseley walked down the empty school hallways. He walked into the theater and toward the stage. He jumped onto it and sat down on the ledge. The brunette boy pulled his guitar off from his back and set it in his lap. He started playing the guitar and sang,
"It’s another day But it’s all the same People acting like they know you They think they’re smart They think they’re cool And I’m missing something special Well if it’s so obvious Why don’t you tell me what I’m about
Because you can’t have a pearl without sand You can’t have a rainbow without a storm You won’t find a diamond in the sun And you can’t know me from a photograph
You’re all for the fame And that’s okay But I’m not about all that Call me a freak But you don’t know The man I am inside You can’t know what’s inside You don’t know what I’m about
Because you can’t have a pearl without sand You can’t have a rainbow without a storm You won’t find a diamond in the sun And you can’t know me from a photograph…"
Jevin had chosen to come to the theater on a weekend because he wasn't too fond of other people listening to him. No one knew he could sing, write songs, or play guitar. It was too personal to let other people hear him. He didn't want people seeing into his his heart. He was fine without anyone prying in.
The brunette sighed softly and rested his arm on his guitar. With his enticing blue eyes, he looked around the silent and dark theater. His bangs fell in front of one of his eyes, but he left it there. He softly strummed his guitar a couple times before resting his arm over it again.

name one thing ashton wanted to do on her weekend? well, anything other then being at the stupid school on the weekened. she didn't even understand how kids, geeks for that matter, could spend their weekend in the library when there was an excited world out there - way more excited then some stupid book that would still bethere, in the library, when the weekend was over. ashton was always tempted to just throw some of the books out that the kids were reading and tell them to go and see the movie instead...out side of the school, that is.
here ashton sheckler was, sititng at a round table in the library, tapping her pen on the side of her table. did she want to be here? obviously not. but, her mother forced to her to come here, seeing as ashton failed her last history exam. although it wasn't technically her fauly. she did study for the hard exam, just not the right stuff. half of the questions on the exam were things she never even knew. her teacher probably explained it all when ashton dozed off in class. hey, you couldn't really blame her; it was super boring sitting in the back of the class, especially when you had no friends in the class.
letting out a small sigh, ashton closed her text books and stood up, gathering all of her papers and shoving them into her bag. she had enough and needed to get out. she would just tell have to tell her mom how painfully boring sitting in the library was. she would undersand..at least, she hoped that she would.
ashton slung her bag over her shoulder, before running a hand through her blond hair, giving one quick glance around the room. she couldn't help but roll her eyes at all the people, before exiting the library. ashton made her way to her locker, before stopping in front of the theatre after hearing someone sing. who would come to the school on the weekend to sing? wasn't singing in your bedroom or dorm good enough.
what was going on with people these days? spending every single minute at the school when there was a whole world out there...
arching an eyebrow, ashton walked to the theatre doors and opened them slowly, poking her head inside, before fully walking in. she crossed her arms over her chest as she gazed around the dark theatre, before her eyes landed on the boy sitting on the stage. a small smirk formed on her face as she slowly made her way down the aisle towards him. "you're pretty good."

Jevin flinched when he heard someone speak. A rush of fear seared through his body for a moment. Someone had been listening to him sing? That was not very good. Jevin purposely came to the theater on the weekend because he didn't think anyone was going to walk in on him.
"You're pretty good." The words finally clicked into Jevin's mind as her looked over at the girl who had spoken to him. Even in the dark theater he could tell she was a very pretty blonde teenager. Also, she had complimented his singing and playing. Did he hear her right? "Uh...thanks," he replied nervously. He grabbed his guitar and jumped back to the ground, getting ready to leave the theater.

ashton arched an eyebrow as she looked at the boy. she stopped walking as she crossed her arms over her chest. apparently, some people can't just take a comliment. who knew that some people would be so uptight about it? "do you guys have like a club or something?" ashton asked. "i mean, you and everyone else who are here, at the school, on a friken weekend, are so uptight about everything," ashton said, a smirk on her face, obviously joking about everything.
arching an eyebrow, ashton slowly un-crossed her arms from her chest when she saw him jump down the stage. was she interrupting his precious time? obviously. stupid uptight weekened kids. she slowly shook her head, backing up slowly. "you don't have to leave. you were here first." ashton rolled her eyes, adjusting her bag over her shouilder. "sorry for interrupting," ashton muttered, turning around and making her way to the door.

Jevin frowned when the girl started talking about him and everyone who was at school on a weekend. Maybe not everyone loves their home or has a thousand friends, he couldn't help but bitterly think.
Jevin sighed and ran a hand through his hair when he saw the girl's reaction to him getting ready to leave. "Look, I'm sorry," he told her as she started to leave. "It's just, no one was supposed to hear that."

hearing him speak, ashton arched an eyebrow and turned around to face him, her arms crossed over her chest. "and why is that?" she questioned, giving him a look after he spoke. "everyone's not that bad. it's not like people would make fun of you for singing, seeing as most people who attend this school are singers." she looked him up and down quickly. "and i take it that you are one, after hearing you...."

Jevin ran a hand thought his hair and sighed. Why did he care if he was heard? how could he even explain it? "Look, it's personal, okay?" he replied. "Not everyone wants everyone to know what's on their mind."
